Florida Registered Agent Service
Every Florida LLC must name one. Here is exactly what ours costs and what it does.
Our service fee. Florida's annual report fee of $138.75 is a separate state charge, passed through at cost only in the years a report is due. First 12 months included when we form your LLC.
What Florida actually requires
Florida law requires every LLC to name a registered agent with a physical street address in Florida — not a PO Box — who is available during normal business hours to accept service of process and official state mail. The designation is a required line on your Articles of Organization, and Florida charges $25 for it as part of the $125 formation total.
You can be your own agent. Plenty of owners are, and we will tell you so rather than talk you out of it. Two things make people change their mind: the address goes on a permanently public, searchable record, and "available during business hours" means a process server can hand you a lawsuit in front of a customer.
What the $99 covers
- Our Florida street address on the public agent record instead of yours.
- Same-day scanning. Legal and state mail is scanned and emailed to you the day it arrives, and we call you for anything that starts a clock.
- Your annual report prepared and filed every year, before the May 1 deadline, with the state's confirmation forwarded to you.
- Deadline tracking from day one — including the first report, which is due by May 1 of the year after the year you form, not in the year you file.
What it does not do — plainly
A registered agent replaces your address on the agent line only. Florida still publishes your LLC's principal business address and its members' or managers' addresses. Anyone claiming a registered agent keeps you entirely off the public record is overselling it. If full address privacy matters to you, that is a conversation about how your business is structured, and it is worth an hour with a Florida attorney.
It is also not legal representation. We accept documents and get them to you fast; we do not advise you on what to do about them.
Billing, in full
- Nothing is charged when you order. We email an invoice; the service starts when it is paid.
- Form an LLC with us and the first 12 months are included at no extra cost.
- After that, $99 per year. We email you 14 days before every renewal.
- Cancel any time before the renewal date at no charge. There is no cancellation fee and no multi-year lock-in.
- Florida's $138.75 annual report fee appears as its own line, at cost, in each year a report is due.
Changing your registered agent to us
You do not need to wait for a renewal or form anything new. There are two routes, and one of them is free:
- On your next annual report. Florida lets you update the registered agent as part of the report you already have to file. No extra state fee.
- Right now, with a Statement of Change of Registered Agent — a $25 state fee. We prepare it, obtain the acceptance signature, and file it.
If your current agent has resigned, moved, or stopped answering, do not let it sit. An LLC without a valid agent can be administratively dissolved — and the state mails its warnings to the agent who is no longer there.
Forming a new company? The first button files the LLC and includes the first 12 months of agent service. Already have a Florida LLC? The second prepares and files the $25 Statement of Change and starts service now — first year $99, on the same invoice.
Or call (866) 794-0007 — Mon–Fri 8:30am–8:30pm ET, Sat 9am–4pm ET — and we will tell you which of the two routes above is cheaper for your situation.
