Florida LLC Amendment

Your company changed. The state record has not caught up. This is the filing that fixes it.

$79flat, plus Florida’s $25 fee — $104 all in

Nothing is charged when you order. We confirm the change against your Sunbiz record, email an invoice for the exact total, and file the moment it is paid.

When you need an amendment

Florida’s Articles of Amendment update the information in your original Articles of Organization. You need one when:

Two things you probably do not need us for

We would rather tell you this than take your money:

For comparison: LegalZoom’s amendment service starts at $129 plus the same state fee. ZenBusiness bundles amendments into a $199-per-year compliance subscription. We charge once, for the filing you actually asked for.

How long it takes

We prepare and send your amendment within one business day of payment — within three business hours if you add priority handling ($49). After that it is the state’s clock, not ours: Florida accepts Articles of Amendment by mail or in person only, with no online option, so approval typically runs several business days plus mail time. Anyone promising you a same-day amendment in Florida is describing something the state does not offer.

After the state approves it

A Florida name change updates one government record. It does not update the others, and this is where people get caught out. You will also want to notify the IRS so the name attached to your EIN matches, update your bank, and update your licences, insurance, and contracts. We send you a checklist of these with your stamped amendment.

Questions

Can I make several changes on one amendment?

Yes. One filing, one $25 fee, one $79 service fee — list everything that is changing and we put it all on the same document.

Do all the members have to agree?

That depends on your operating agreement, and it is a legal question rather than a filing one. We file at the direction of the person authorised to sign; we cannot tell you who that is. If there is any dispute about authority, talk to an attorney before filing.

What if I just want to fix a typo in the original filing?

Florida has a separate, cheaper route for genuine errors — a Statement of Correction. Order the amendment and tell us it is a typo; if a correction is the right form we switch you to it and charge you less.

FloridaFormed, a Filerra, LLC company, is a business filing and information service — not a law firm. Nothing here is legal or tax advice. We prepare and file documents at your direction; we do not decide what is right for your situation. State fees are set by Florida and can change — the Sunbiz fee schedule above is authoritative.

Every Florida filing we do

Every price above is our fee plus Florida's own charge, shown separately. Priority handling is $49 on any filing and speeds up our queue, never the state's.
